Threading is a traditional Indian form of hair removal that became popular in US a few years ago. The procedure is used now by beauty therapists around the world to reshape eyebrows and remove the hair in the upper lip and face.
Threading involves pulling out a row of hairs from the follicle by
twisting the hairs into a cotton thread. The therapist holds one end of
the thread in her neck and the other end in one of her hands. With her
free hand, she grabs the middle of the thread to form a loop. The loop
traps the unwanted row of hairs and the specialist pulls the hairs from
the skin, leaving a smooth finish.
